DB Financial Investment Hosts the 6th DB Global Asset Allocation Investment Competition
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] DB Financial Investment announced on the 13th that it will hold the "6th DB Global Asset Allocation (GAPS) Investment Competition" for university and graduate students.
Hosted by the DB Kim Joon-ki Cultural Foundation and organized by DB Financial Investment, this competition is supported by the CFA Korea Association and FN Guide. Outstanding teams selected through a 5-month simulated investment competition will be awarded scholarships and given the opportunity to explore Asia's financial hubs.
The DB GAPS (Global Asset allocation Portfolio Strategy) Investment Competition is the first domestic simulated investment competition using a global asset allocation portfolio, held annually to establish a sound investment culture among students. Any domestic or international university (graduate) students can participate as a team of three members, and teams composed entirely of members from financial clubs are also eligible.
The total scholarship amount is 33 million KRW, with 15 million KRW awarded to the top 5 teams with the highest returns, and 5 million KRW awarded to the top 5 teams with excellent investment philosophy. The top 10 teams excelling in returns and investment philosophy will also be given the opportunity to visit Asia's financial centers. Additionally, 10 teams with outstanding presentation skills, excluding the prize-winning teams, will receive a total of 3 million KRW, and 5 excellent clubs will be awarded a total of 10 million KRW in academic research support funds.
Applications for the investment competition can be submitted through the official website for 4 weeks from today until the 8th of next month. A pre-competition briefing session will be held around mid-May, and investment plans must be written and submitted by May 31. The competition will then proceed for a total of 5 months from June 1 (3 months for preliminaries and 2 months for finals).
