Candidate Yoon So-ha stated, "On the 12th, Yang Jeong-cheol, head of the Democratic Research Institute of the Democratic Party, signed a policy agreement with Democratic Party candidate So Byung-chul of Jeonnam Suncheon·Gwangyang·Gokseong·Gurye Gap to work on policy research and implementation regarding the establishment of a medical school in the southeastern region of Jeonnam and the reinforcement and expansion of the regional emergency medical center functions."
He continued, "Thus, although Kim Won-i attended the meeting to promote the establishment of the southeastern medical school, he kept making excuses and boasted on TV debates that he would establish the Mokpo University medical school, but it has been confirmed that all of Kim Won-i’s promises were lies."
Candidate Yoon emphasized, "The establishment of the Mokpo University medical school is far more important than this general election. It is a matter concerning the lives and safety of the citizens of Mokpo, Dadohae, and the entire southwestern region of Jeonnam, and since it has been a long-cherished project for 30 years, I ask the citizens to watch over it, and I, Yoon So-ha, will stand by the citizens to protect it together."
