McDonald's Introduces 'Best Burger' in Asia for the First Time... Enhancing Taste and Quality
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] McDonald's Korea announced on the 13th that it has introduced the 'Best Burger,' which enhances the taste and quality of menu items, to Korea for the first time in Asia.
The 'Best Burger' is McDonald's global initiative aimed at providing customers with the best burgers by improving overall processes such as ingredients, cooking procedures, and cooking equipment to offer more delicious menu items. It was first introduced in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, countries where customers primarily enjoy burgers as a staple among the over 100 countries where McDonald's operates. McDonald's Korea is the fourth in the world and the first in Asia to implement this.
McDonald's Korea promoted the introduction of the Best Burger to provide even more delicious burgers to customers who have continuously supported the brand for the past 32 years. After about two years of preparation starting in the second half of 2018, including internal staff training and practice, as well as investment in personnel and facilities, it was introduced to over 400 stores nationwide on the 26th of last month. Additionally, to faithfully reflect customer feedback on the Best Burger, surveys have been conducted monthly with more than 3,000 participants, and the Customer Voice Corner and My Voice system have been operated. McDonald's plans to conduct future campaigns with all store employees to provide customers with more enjoyable experiences and benefits.
The major changes introduced include ▲ buns that are moister, warmer, and have enhanced savory flavor ▲ patties that are warmer and richer in juice ▲ cheese that melts more smoothly to better harmonize with the patty ▲ Big Mac sauce increased by 50% in quantity and more evenly spread to provide a richer and consistent taste ▲ vegetables with shortened storage time to maintain a crisper and fresher texture. These improvements allow customers to experience an overall enhanced harmony of taste, flavor, and texture when eating the burger. The Best Burger applies to all burgers, with particularly noticeable taste differences in McDonald's signature menu items such as the Big Mac, Cheeseburger, and Quarter Pounder with Cheese.
