View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Korea University announced on the 13th that it will establish a Department of Semiconductor Engineering in collaboration with SK Hynix and operate it starting next year.
The Department of Semiconductor Engineering at Korea University guarantees employment at SK Hynix after graduation, with an annual enrollment quota of 30 students. Twenty-five students will be selected through early admission, and five through the regular admission process under the Na group.
Students admitted to this department will receive full tuition and subsidies as scholarships from SK Hynix, and will be supported with participation in SK Hynix internship programs, domestic and international training, extracurricular lectures and programs, and incentives.

The four-year curriculum of the Department of Semiconductor Engineering, jointly developed by Korea University and SK Hynix, consists of basic liberal arts and foundational major courses in the first and second years, followed by advanced major and interdisciplinary courses in the third and fourth years. Students will have opportunities to participate in actual research through undergraduate internships. Employment at SK Hynix will be based on undergraduate academic performance and internship activities after graduation.
