Gyeonggi-do Deploys 200 Youth Volunteers to Support Student Remote Classes
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is supporting volunteers in frontline educational sites to help students smoothly participate in remote classes.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 12th that it will recruit 200 young volunteers proficient in using IT devices such as smart devices and computers, and deploy them to the field from the 13th to the 24th.
The volunteers will provide phone guidance on how to use smart devices and access remote classes on weekdays (Monday to Friday) to students who may have difficulties operating smart devices during remote classes, especially those from single-parent families, dual-income families, grandparent-headed families, and multicultural families.
If the issue cannot be resolved through phone guidance, the volunteers will visit the homes directly or go to the respective schools to provide assistance.
