Shinsegae Starfield Supports Flower Farmers and Performance Planning Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Shopping theme park Starfield has stepped up to support flower farms and performance planning companies struggling due to the impact of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Shinsegae Property announced on the 12th that it will support them by utilizing Starfield's online and offline channels in various ways, such as popup stores and untact performances. Until the 19th, Starfield Goyang will hold a ‘Flower Popup Store with Goyang Flower Farms’ to help flower farms suffering from poor sales due to cancellations of various events such as graduation ceremonies.
This popup store, organized by Starfield Goyang and the Goyang International Flower Fair, aims to support the expansion of sales channels for flower farms in Goyang City and to ease the disappointment over the fair, which was postponed from spring to autumn. The event venue is the Central Atrium Plaza on the first floor of Starfield Goyang, where the entire plaza was cleared to create a large sales and exhibition space for a rich event. About 120 flower farms that were scheduled to participate in the Goyang International Flower Fair will sell flowers and plants here.
Starfield also created a special stage for performance planning companies that have found it difficult to operate due to consecutive performance cancellations. Starfield and Starfield City have been holding children's performances inside stores on weekends, but had to inevitably postpone performances to comply with social distancing guidelines set by the government.
