Japan Reports 743 New COVID-19 Cases... Record Broken for Fourth Consecutive Day

According to NHK on the 12th, 743 new COVID-19 cases were added in Japan the previous day. In Tokyo, 197 new cases were confirmed, setting a new record.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Japan stands at 6,923. Including 712 passengers from the cruise ship "Diamond Princess," the total number of infections in Japan rises to 7,635.
Among Japan's 47 prefectures, Iwate Prefecture remains the only area with no confirmed cases.
The death toll increased by 11 in one day, bringing the total to 144.
