Seocho-gu, Next-Level Online Culture and Arts Services
'Seoripul Culture Class' (Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat from 7 PM for 40 minutes)... Wonderful performances and enjoyable talk concerts by famous music, art, literature, and travel artists... '3-Minute Relay with Stories "Love & Hope"' (daily from the 10th at 12 PM)
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Seocho-gu (Mayor Eunhee Jo) will start a unique online cultural arts service, ‘Seoripul Culture Class,’ and an online performance, ‘3-Minute Relay Classic with a Story, Love & Hope,’ through its official YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/SeochoCity) from the 10th to comfort residents exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and support artists whose stages have been reduced.
First, ‘Seoripul Culture Class’ offers four themes: music, art, literature, and travel. It can be viewed as an online live broadcast through Seocho-gu Office’s official YouTube channel, providing healing time through art to residents whose spirits have been worn down due to the closure of cultural facilities caused by COVID-19.
Especially, as Seocho-gu is ranked first in communicative administration, there will be comment interactions between residents watching YouTube and the artists. Through this, it is expected that residents will actively participate in cultural arts and deepen their understanding of the works.
‘Seoripul Culture Class’ will begin on the 10th with the ‘Music Edition,’ featuring the first broadcast hosted by the famous classical YouTuber ‘Jenny Yoon,’ followed by a travel talk show hosted by popular podcaster Jaehyung Tak on the 11th.
Subsequently, famous artists such as Korean painter Hyunjung Kim, travel writer Kyunga Shin, saxophonist Brandon Choi, and violinist Jiyoon Kim are planning and preparing various content in different genres every day.
The local Seocho Symphony Orchestra’s ‘3-Minute Relay Classic with a Story, Love & Hope’ will also be promoted.
From the 10th to the 20th, under the theme of ‘Love,’ a special message of love overcoming difficult times will be conveyed through classical music with stories dedicated to medical staff, volunteers, and others expressing love.
From the 21st to the 30th, under the theme of ‘Hope,’ classical music performance videos containing messages of love and hope during challenging situations will be presented.
In addition, active communication about culture and arts with residents will continue through the YouTube comment section. As a resident organization of the Seocho Cultural Foundation, the Seocho Symphony Orchestra actively performs in foundation-planned concerts and ‘Seoripul Festival’ invitation performances. Many talented young artists from the Seocho Symphony Orchestra (Principal Conductor Jonghun Bae) will participate in the solo relay performances, delivering world-class cultural arts performances.
