'Modern Family' Jinseong Reveals 3-Story Country House Where He Lives with His Wife: "Nature-Friendly Life After Cancer Battle"
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] Trot singer Jinseong revealed the story behind his nature-friendly lifestyle.
On the 10th episode of MBN's 'Modern Family,' Jinseong introduced a three-story countryside house where he lives alone with his wife.
The Jinseong couple has been married for 11 years and lives by cultivating a vegetable garden. The revealed house was decorated with a karaoke and music studio on the first floor, the couple's living space on the second floor, and a room with herbal medicine on the third floor.
In the broadcast, Jinseong personally prepared a meal to welcome Seol Woon-do. In an interview with the production team, he expressed confidence, saying, "Having lived alone for a long time, I am quite good at cooking."
He quickly showcased his cooking skills by making a stew using vegetables from the garden and cheonggukjang, along with steamed eggs.
Later, in a conversation with Seol Woon-do, Jinseong explained the reason for his healthy diet: "I am promoting a good song called 'At Andong Station,' but I was diagnosed with lymphoma blood cancer and heart valve disease at the same time. At first, I was so tired that I couldn't sing. I went to the hospital but didn't know the diagnosis. Two weeks later, I went to a general hospital, and they asked how I managed to sing with this body. When they told me the diagnosis, I felt like the sky had turned yellow," he confessed his feelings at the time.
When Seol Woon-do asked, "Isn't it cured?" Jinseong revealed, "Usually, cancer is considered cured after five years, but this disease is said to be incurable. I just live with the disease."
