Lee Jae-myung "Prosecutors, Police, and Politicians Must Immediately Disclose the List of n번방 Sexual Exploiters"
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Lee Jae-myung, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, urged the prosecution, police, and political circles to immediately disclose the list of 'Nth Room sexual exploiters.'
On the 10th, Governor Lee stated on Facebook, "The disclosure of the list of sexual violence criminals who created, shared, and distributed sexual exploitation videos is a natural act for general prevention purposes and public sentiment," adding, "It is also permitted under the current Special Act on Sexual Violence Crimes."
However, Governor Lee said, "For some reason, political disputes aimed at elections are taking place over this obvious matter," emphasizing, "The disclosure of the list of such malicious human rights violation criminals should not be used as a tool for political or electoral strategies."
Furthermore, he stated, "Whether in politics or elections, the purpose should be the protection of fundamental human rights and the national interest and people's welfare," and firmly declared, "The human rights of the people cannot be a means or target of political disputes."
Governor Lee first pressured, "The prosecution and police must immediately disclose the list of sexual exploitation suspects whose charges are certain according to the law and the will of the people, regardless of which camp they belong to or what position they hold."
He also added, "If the political circles have obtained a reliable list of related persons, it is their duty to disclose it to the public without consideration of elections or political tactics."
