Jeonbuk Province Issues Administrative Order to Ban Gatherings at 'Gamseong Jujeom' Violating Operation Restriction Measures
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Jeonbuk Province announced on the 10th that it conducted on-site inspections of five "Gamseong Jujeom" (emotional pubs) that were recommended for operational restrictions by the governor's own order, detected violations of the operational restriction measures, and promptly issued an administrative order to prohibit gatherings.
On the 8th, Jeonbuk Province delivered administrative orders restricting operations to the "Gamseong Jujeom" and provided guidance on compliance with quarantine guidelines. On the 9th, on-site inspections were conducted to check compliance with the operational restriction orders, and violations were detected.
The on-site inspection results showed that these five establishments did not comply with quarantine guidelines such as maintaining visitor logs, employees wearing masks, and ensuring a minimum distance of 1 to 2 meters between facility users.
Accordingly, these five establishments will be subject to the administrative order prohibiting gatherings from today until the 19th, pursuant to Article 49 of the "Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act."
The "Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act" allows city and provincial governors to restrict or prohibit gatherings of multiple people to prevent infectious diseases.
Owners and users who violate the administrative order prohibiting gatherings may be fined up to 3 million won.

Kim Yang-won, Director of the Provincial Citizen Safety Office, said, "Concerns about group infections at entertainment facilities such as clubs, Gamseong Jujeom, Danran Jujeom (karaoke pubs), and entertainment pubs are increasing, following infection cases among workers at entertainment facilities in Gangnam, Seoul." He added, "We will strengthen on-site inspections of entertainment facilities and take strong and resolute measures such as prohibiting gatherings, imposing fines, and claiming damages if confirmed cases occur when violations are detected."
