[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] The Korea Institute of Design Promotion announced on the 10th that it has selected companies that will lead innovation through the 'Style Tech Promising Companies Growth Support Program.'
In this program, a total of 82 companies underwent a first document evaluation and a second presentation evaluation, comprehensively assessing innovation, marketability, and growth potential.
The Institute of Design Promotion has finally selected 10 companies that combine the style industry and information technology (IT), including 'Clonet Corporation,' a commerce service company based on video content, and 'Slound,' which introduced sensor-embedded new material fiber sleepwear.
The selected companies will receive support such as acceleration, design personnel, market testing, and promotion, including collaboration with large and small-medium enterprises. Additionally, a customized full-cycle program will be provided through continuous monitoring.
The Institute of Design Promotion plans to create and provide the Style Tech DK Works Innovation Growth Space together with Sparkplus and will conduct an intern dispatch support program with Ewha Womans University.
Style Tech is a business that creates new value by integrating Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies into style fields such as fashion and beauty.
Yoon Juhyun, President of the Korea Institute of Design Promotion, said, "We will continuously support domestic and international promotion until the 10 companies selected as promising Style Tech companies grow into unicorn companies representing Korea," adding, "In the future, we will expand the use of design not only in Style Tech but also into new areas such as Living Tech and Retail Tech."
