Gwangju Nam-gu to Open New Landmark 'Yangrim Penguin Studio' in Yangrim-dong on the 16th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Kim Byeong-nae) announced on the 10th that it will officially operate the ‘Yangnim Penguin Studio’ to successfully promote the Yangnim District Urban Regeneration New Deal Project and revitalize the modern historical and cultural village, including the craft specialty street.
The Yangnim Penguin Studio, which will open on the 16th, is located behind the Statue of Peace at the entrance of Penguin Village.
The studio was built with an area of 84㎡, and inside the building, it is equipped with a studio, a control room for broadcasting production, and an audience seating area.
Broadcast production and transmission will be fully launched starting with the opening ceremony on the same day.
Here, live broadcasts of the music FM program ‘Noon Hope Song’ and the standard FM program ‘Amazing 3 o’clock’ will be conducted five days a week from Monday to Friday, and recorded broadcasts will be aired on Saturdays and Sundays.
As a new attraction emerges in Yangnim-dong, a hot place in Gwangju, expectations are rising for revitalizing the commercial district around the modern historical and cultural village.
In particular, since citizens can freely participate in live broadcast programs and popular singers and entertainers will appear, it is expected that the foot traffic of visitors to Yangnim-dong will become busier.
Along with this, a craft specialty street representing Gwangju is also being created around the Yangnim Penguin Studio, and the experiential cultural tourism is expected to create a synergy effect, transforming Yangnim-dong into a vibrant area.
