Volkswagen Korea Strengthens Disinfection Services in Response to Prolonged COVID-19 Pandemic
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Volkswagen Korea announced on the 10th that it will expand disinfection efforts in collaboration with scent marketing specialist Centon to respond to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. This disinfection service was established to support official dealers struggling due to COVID-19 and to ensure the safety of customers visiting the stores.
The interiors and exteriors of Volkswagen Korea’s 34 showrooms and 35 service centers nationwide are regularly disinfected through Centon’s premium preventive disinfection service, "On Care." The product used in On Care, "Hocler" (weakly acidic hypochlorous acid water, HOCl), is Centon’s specialized disinfection product with strong sterilizing power. Disinfection services are provided not only inside and outside the showrooms and service centers but also for the vehicles of visiting customers.
An unusual scent service that cares for customers’ moods with Volkswagen’s unique fragrance is also being implemented. Through this scent service, Volkswagen Korea has prepared to provide customers with a pleasant waiting and service experience from check-in to check-out.
Starting this month, customers visiting Volkswagen’s official showrooms and service centers nationwide can experience the "Volkswagen Fougere" scent jointly developed by Volkswagen Korea and Centon. Volkswagen Fougere is a scent that combines a neutral woody, musk, and moss base with top notes of bergamot and orange, and middle notes of ginger, pepper, and cardamom, creating a subtle yet deep fragrance.
Additionally, customers who take delivery of Volkswagen vehicles will receive a "sachet" (fragrance pouch) containing the Volkswagen Fougere scent. The sachet can be used not only in vehicles but also in various spaces such as inside the home or closets.
