Gwangjin-gu Implements 'National Application Real-Name System' to Ensure Policy Transparency
Applications accepted via old website, mail, and email until the 24th... Policy Real-Name System Review Committee to review and disclose on the website afterward
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Seon-gap) is implementing the 'National Request Real-Name System' to provide residents with more detailed information about district projects in order to ensure accountability and transparency in policy.
The 'National Request Real-Name System' is a public participation system that reflects the public's demand directly when selecting projects for disclosure under the policy real-name system activation plan, allowing projects desired by the public to be disclosed.
When citizens directly request projects they want to know about, the Policy Real-Name System Deliberation Committee reviews and selects the target projects, and based on the results, the project details and the names of those responsible are disclosed on the district website.
The eligible projects for application include ▲ construction and projects over 2 billion KRW ▲ research and service projects over 200 million KRW ▲ enactment or revision of ordinances directly related to the daily lives of many residents ▲ policies related to residents' rights and obligations.
Projects are excluded if there are reasons for non-disclosure under the Information Disclosure Act, if they are simple complaints that differ from the purpose of the policy real-name system, if the content is unclear, or if they are already disclosed under the policy real-name system.
Applicants can apply through the National Request Real-Name System bulletin board on the district website by the 24th. They can also download the application form, fill it out, and submit it by mail (1st floor, Planning and Budget Division, Administrative Support Building, 117 Jayang-ro, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul) or by email (luckyssi427@gwangjin.go.kr).
