14 New COVID-19 Cases in Seoul Include 10 Overseas Entrants... Total Patients Reach 592
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in the Seoul area increased by 14 in one day. The cumulative number of confirmed cases is approaching 600.
According to Seoul City on the 9th, as of 10 a.m. that day, the total cumulative number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in Seoul was counted at 592. This number includes 14 additional confirmed cases reported over the 34 hours since midnight on the 8th.
Among the new confirmed cases, 10 tested positive for COVID-19 after entering the country from overseas. The countries they traveled to were the United States with 5 cases, the United Kingdom and France with 2 cases each, and Canada and Congo with 1 case each. Among them, one person (female, 45) entered the country after departing from Congo and passing through France.
So far, 2 of the confirmed cases in Seoul have died, 174 have fully recovered and been discharged. 416 are currently receiving isolation treatment.
