"Untact Trend in Shared Kitchens Too"…WiCook Delivery Sees 3x Increase in Entry Inquiries
Wecook Delivery Sales Increased by 24.6% Compared to January Before the Spread of COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] As the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic prolongs, interest in delivery-type shared kitchens optimized for contactless (untact) services is increasing. Shared kitchen company WeCook announced on the 9th that inquiries for March entry into 'WeCook Delivery' have more than tripled compared to the previous month.
WeCook Delivery, operated by WeCook, is a delivery-type shared kitchen that provides various services necessary for business operations, such as spaces optimized for delivery food businesses, product development, branding, and marketing solutions. The significant increase in entry inquiries is interpreted as a result of growing demand in the delivery food market optimized for contactless services due to COVID-19.
In fact, sales of WeCook Delivery are rapidly increasing. The average sales of companies currently operating after entering WeCook Delivery's Sinsa and Nonhyeon branches from January to March this year increased by 8.9% in February and 15% in March compared to the previous month. Compared to January, before the spread of COVID-19, March sales increased by 24.6%. In particular, the delivery-specialized pasta brand 'Napolije Myeonso,' which started operations at WeCook Delivery's Yeoksam branch in early March, achieved 140% of its target sales in its first month of opening.
