[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 70s who tested positive for COVID-19 at Daesil Nursing Hospital in Daegu, where a cluster infection of the novel coronavirus occurred, has died.
According to Daegu city health authorities on the 7th, a 75-year-old man receiving COVID-19 treatment at Daegu Veterans Hospital died at around 1:20 PM that day. With this, the total number of COVID-19 deaths in South Korea rose to 197, with 133 deaths in Daegu.

The man was admitted to Daesil Nursing Hospital in January and tested positive for COVID-19 on the 23rd of last month, after which he was transferred to Daegu Veterans Hospital. He had underlying conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and dementia.
