Cluster Infection at 2nd Miju Hospital: Confirmed Patient in 60s Dies... 196th Death in Korea (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A man in his 60s who tested positive at Daegu Je2 Miju Hospital, where a cluster infection of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) occurred, has died.
According to health authorities on the 7th, a 69-year-old man receiving treatment at Daegu Medical Center died at around 3:52 a.m. With this, the number of COVID-19 deaths in South Korea increased to 196, and the number of deaths in Daegu rose to 132.
The man was admitted to Je2 Miju Hospital in February, tested positive on the 27th of last month, and was transferred to Daegu Medical Center the next day for treatment.
Health authorities stated that the man was known to have schizophrenia as an underlying condition.
