Hankook Tire Launches Ultra-High Performance Tire 'Ventus S1 evo3 SUV' in Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Hankook Tire & Technology (hereinafter Hankook Tire) announced on the 6th that it will launch a new tire product for ultra-high-performance sport utility vehicles (SUVs), the 'Ventus S1 evo3 SUV,' in the domestic market.
The newly launched 'Ventus S1 evo3 SUV' will be supplied as original equipment tires for flagship SUV models of German premium automakers such as Porsche, BMW, and Audi. This product is the latest model in the 'Ventus S1 evo SUV' series, which has already proven its excellence in Europe, featuring optimal handling and grip, as well as quietness, ride comfort, and braking performance on wet roads.
In particular, the outer groove (the wide groove on the tire surface) is designed with an interlocking structure resembling meshed teeth to prevent hydroplaning on rainy roads and improve grip on wet surfaces. Additionally, the 'In-Out Dual Pitch' design, which varies the pattern spacing between the inner and outer sides of the tire, enhances braking performance on wet roads while minimizing noise.
The tread (the contact surface of the tire) applies a new material called 'High-purity Synthetic Silica Compound (HSSC)' to improve mileage, and the shoulder width is widened while reinforcing rigidity to provide agile handling.

The sidewall (the side of the tire) uses rayon carcass, mainly adopted in high-performance tires, to enhance rigidity, and a lattice pattern is applied to improve cooling efficiency and block rigidity. This minimizes tire deformation during driving and provides excellent driving stability and ride comfort.
