Minsaeng Party: "Ruling Party says 'No problem promoting Citizen Party on Facebook'?... Election Commission, Get a Grip"
"The Election Commission's Hammer Is the Only Way to Set Things Right"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 5th, the Minsheng Party criticized the Central Election Commission's judgment that there was "no problem" with the promotional video of the Deobureo Citizen Party being posted on the official Facebook account of the Democratic Party of Korea, saying, "We cannot understand the Election Commission's inconsistent decisions at all," and "The Election Commission should get a grip."
Kim Jeong-hoon, spokesperson for the Minsheng Party's Election Countermeasures Committee, said in a statement on the same day, "Even though it is common sense that if the 'twin bus' is not allowed, then Facebook promotional videos should naturally not be allowed either, they came up with an interpretation so ridiculous that even elementary school students would laugh."
Spokesperson Kim pointed out, "The proportional satellite parties, the Deobureo Citizen Party and the Future Korea Party, have been emphasizing that they are 'one body' day after day and are conducting joint election campaigns," adding, "Although the Election Commission said that 'a certain party and its satellite party forming a joint election committee is a violation of election law,' these parties are cleverly employing cunning strategies to form alliances."
Spokesperson Kim criticized, "Despite the Election Commission being completely disregarded by these loopholes and tricks, the Election Commission is only making pathetic judgments like 'a nose ring if hung on the nose, an earring if hung on the ear,'" and sharpened his words, "Is the problem the election law? Or is the problem the Election Commission?"
