Son Hak-kyu: "Moon Administration Failed Economically... Hwang Kyo-ahn Always Fighting"
Regarding Ahn Cheol-soo: "Is it legitimate for a party to field only proportional representation candidates?"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Son Hak-kyu, the Standing Election Countermeasures Committee Chairman of the Minsaeng Party, stated on the 5th, "Was the economy good before the COVID-19 pandemic? No," and pointed out, "The level of economic development in our country had already fallen below an average annual growth rate of 2.0% before the COVID-19 crisis."
Chairman Son made these remarks during a campaign rally supporting Minsaeng Party candidate Kim Bo-seong in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk Province, saying, "It is because the current Moon Jae-in administration in power is not managing the economy properly."
He criticized the Moon Jae-in government's income-led growth policy, saying, "When the minimum wage was raised from 7,530 won to 8,350 won, those who pay wages should have the money to do so. If you don't raise the minimum wage, you go to jail. In the end, employers let go of their employees. Workers lost their income entirely and fell further into poverty."
He continued, "The Moon Jae-in administration misunderstands the concept of a life with evenings. People did go home early in the evening, but since they couldn't work overtime, workers' wage levels dropped further. A leftist ideological government like the Moon Jae-in administration should not continue," he added.
Regarding the United Future Party, Chairman Son said, "Does that mean we should entrust power to the United Future Party, number 2? These people stay up all night only fighting for power. What did Hwang Kyo-ahn, the United Future Party leader, do? He only fought all the time," he sharply criticized.
Chairman Son criticized the proportional satellite parties of the two major parties, saying, "Parliamentary democracy is collapsing now. The first and second parties did not nominate proportional representation candidates," and asked, "Should we vote for such parties?"
He targeted Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party, saying, "Leader Ahn formed a party but did not nominate a single candidate for constituency seats, only proportional candidates," and questioned, "What kind of party is this, claiming to be a third party or a centrist party?"
Chairman Son said, "(Leader Ahn) runs marathons alone across the country to attract attention and gain votes, but what kind of comedy is politics?"

He emphasized, "Politics has become a mess, ignoring the economy, neglecting people's livelihoods, and only fighting for power?that is what the two major parties have created. That is why a third party is needed, and the third zone must firmly establish itself. There is the Minsaeng Party, number 3," he stressed.
