Dongdaemun-gu Supports Academies and Private Institutes Participating in Social Distancing with Up to 1 Million Won
‘Academies and Private Tutoring Centers Closure Support Fund’ Payment... 100,000 KRW per day of closure, up to 1,000,000 KRW... For facilities closed for 5 or more consecutive days during social distancing period (3.9.~4.5.)
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Yoo Deok-yeol) will provide a "Closure Support Fund" to help local academies and private institutes that actively participated in social distancing measures implemented nationwide to prevent the spread of COVID-19 operate stably.
The support targets facilities among the 618 academies and private institutes registered and reported to the Dongbu Office of Education that have closed for 5 or more consecutive days during the social distancing period (March 9 to April 5).
The support amount is 100,000 KRW per day of closure, up to a maximum of 1,000,000 KRW.
Representatives of academies or private institutes wishing to apply for the "Closure Support Fund" must prepare the necessary documents including △Closure Certificate (issued by Dongbu Office of Education) △Closure Support Fund Application Form △Copy of Business Registration Certificate △Copy of Representative’s ID and Bankbook, and submit them to the Child and Youth Division on the 8th floor of Dongdaemun-gu Office.
The application period is from the 8th to the 17th of this month.
The district plans to verify the closure compliance of the academies and private institutes that applied for the support fund before disbursing the funds.
