Busan Bank Labor and Management United to Overcome COVID-19 Crisis 'One Heart'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] BNK Busan Bank's labor and management announced a joint declaration on the 3rd to swiftly support the local economy struggling due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and to overcome the crisis in the financial sector together.
Through the joint declaration, Busan Bank's labor and management agreed to make mutual efforts to overcome the difficulties caused by COVID-19 based on mutual trust and concession, uniting as one.
They pledged to actively work to provide prompt and smooth financial support to small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners facing difficulties due to COVID-19 by expanding new loans, extending loan maturities, and deferring interest repayments.
They also agreed to actively secure dedicated personnel for COVID-19 financial support, allow exceptions for special extended work hours if necessary, and introduce and utilize flexible working systems to pool capabilities and cooperate mutually to overcome the crisis.
Additionally, Busan Bank's labor and management shared the intention to fulfill their social responsibility as a regional bank by actively participating in revitalizing the local economy through the use of local currency and Onnuri gift certificates.
At the signing ceremony on the 1st, Busan Bank President Bin Dae-in said, "In this unprecedented crisis, we must prioritize customer value and devote the bank's entire capabilities," adding, "Let us work together to ensure dedicated support for small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners."
