Incheon TP Supports Commercialization of Robot Companies... Up to 20 Million KRW for Technology Development and Promotion
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Incheon Technopark (Incheon TP) is recruiting companies to participate in the 'Robot Company Commercialization Support' project until the 10th of this month.
The support target is small and medium-sized enterprises related to the robot industry in the Incheon area. About five companies will be selected to support two areas: robot product (technology) development and promotion.
The product (technology) development sector, which will reduce the cost burden for new product development of robot companies, will provide up to 20 million KRW, and the promotion sector, including online social marketing, catalogs and brochures, and promotional video production, will support up to 6 million KRW.
Applications for support can be submitted through the business support information provision site BizOK (http://bizok.incheon.go.kr). For more details, refer to the Incheon TP website (www.itp.or.kr) or contact the Incheon TP Robot Industry Center at 032-727-5015.
Last year, Incheon TP supported a total of seven companies with about 10 million KRW each, helping with new product development and early market launch.
In the case of Company D, with the support of Incheon TP, it succeeded in commercializing an affordable coding education kit, earning an additional 80 million KRW last year and aiming for over 100 million KRW this year.
Also, Company L, which produced instructor content for robot toys that can be used without professional instructors, expects annual revenue of over 100 million KRW through exports of English, Chinese, and Japanese content.

An official from Incheon TP stated, "Robots are emerging as a core of the 4th industrial revolution, but the support infrastructure is insufficient. As the scale of support from Incheon City has increased this year, we expect it to help robot companies struggling with commercialization to successfully develop their products."
