Seongnam City Supports Thermal Imaging Cameras for Frontline High Schools
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province has decided to supply thermal imaging cameras to frontline schools as local schools begin online classes sequentially starting from the 9th.
Seongnam City announced on the 3rd that it will support the purchase cost of thermal imaging cameras for 156 schools and has allocated 1.09 billion KRW from the Seongnam-style education budget for this purpose.
A city official explained, "With high school online classes starting from the 9th, we decided to purchase and provide thermal imaging cameras so that students can voluntarily check their body temperature through the student council."
The city also plans to support costs for basic infrastructure and tools for video classes.
