40s Man Kidnaps Wife by Forcing Her into Car... Arrested in the Act
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] A man in his 40s who kidnapped and confined his estranged wife was arrested by the police.
On the 2nd, the Siheung Police Station in Gyeonggi Province apprehended and is investigating A (43) on charges of kidnapping and confinement.
A is accused of going to his wife B's (38) home in Gwangmyeong City around 10 a.m. on the previous day (the 1st), kidnapping her, and then confining her at his residence in Siheung, Gyeonggi Province.
The police responded to a report from an acquaintance of B who was at B's home. About an hour after the kidnapping, around 11 a.m. on the same day, A was caught in the act at his home.
It was investigated that A committed the crime due to family issues, including financial problems, while they had been living apart for several years.
