CU Launches Labor Management Solution App for Convenience Stores, 'ToegeunhaeCU'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] CU announced on the 2nd that it will launch the labor management integrated solution application ‘Toegeunhae CU’.
‘Toegeunhae CU’ is the industry's first one-stop system that allows franchise owners and staff to handle all matters from staff employment to work, such as drafting labor contracts, attendance management, and payroll calculation, more easily and clearly through a mobile app.
Franchise owners can use ‘Toegeunhae CU’ to electronically conclude labor contracts, which were mostly written manually at stores until now, and manage employee clock-in and clock-out status in real time every day using QR codes.
Based on this, CU expects to drastically reduce the workload of franchise owners as payroll, including various costs, is automatically calculated according to the Labor Standards Act, and to prevent disputes caused by errors in records and calculations.
Also, through ‘Toegeunhae CU’, work checklists for each time zone can be set according to store conditions, enabling more efficient store management. A monthly labor magazine containing the latest labor news and information for franchise owners, as well as online educational content, will also be posted.
CU partnered with Wisop, which provides the labor management integrated solution ShopSol, at the end of last year and developed ‘Toegeunhae CU’ over three months. A pilot test was conducted on directly managed stores for the entire month of March, resulting in high satisfaction from both store managers and employees.
Previously, CU also implemented a total consultation service providing expert advice and solutions related to labor, legal, and tax matters to help franchise owners operate their stores more stably and efficiently. In the case of labor consultations, about 20,000 consultations were conducted within approximately one year of service implementation, receiving positive responses from franchise owners.
Recently, to support franchise owners struggling due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CU produced CU TV videos to help them receive various government tax benefits, living support funds, paid leave expenses, etc., and also provides related labor and tax consultation services free of charge.
