According to Gumi City on the 1st, two employees in their 30s to 40s from the Wireless Division at Samsung Electronics Gumi Plant, after returning from Brazil on the 30th of last month, were self-quarantined and underwent specimen testing at the screening clinic of Soonchunhyang Hospital on the 31st, receiving positive results that day.
As a result, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Gumi area has increased to 66.
The employees, who had departed for Brazil together in early February and returned, were understood not to have visited domestic workplaces during their self-quarantine period before returning to work.
