Sejong-si to Provide 'Child Care Coupons' to Child Allowance Recipients
[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Sejong City announced on the 1st that it will provide childcare coupons worth 400,000 KRW per child to approximately 31,300 local children included in the child allowance recipients by the end of last month.
Applications are made through an automatic application via text message, and recipients can receive the coupons this month through a non-face-to-face consent procedure without needing to visit the community service center separately.
The coupons are issued as points through government support cards such as the I-Happiness Card and the National Happiness Card, which are used by the child's guardian.
Guardians without government support cards can receive prepaid (gift) cards after a separate application process (via Bokjiro and visits to eup/myeon/dong offices) starting from the 6th of this month.
The issued points can be used in local commercial districts, excluding department stores, large supermarkets, online malls, and entertainment establishments.
