Musical 'Opera-ui Yujeong' Performance Suspended... Ensemble Actor Tests Positive for COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The musical 'The Phantom of the Opera' performances will be temporarily suspended starting from the 1st.
Clip Service, the promoter of 'The Phantom of the Opera' world tour, announced on the 1st that they decided to suspend the performances after one of the ensemble cast members tested positive for COVID-19 around 11 p.m. on the 31st of last month.
Clip Service explained that although the confirmed individual had a normal body temperature, they showed symptoms similar to COVID-19 infection. Therefore, they visited a screening clinic on the morning of the 31st and were confirmed positive during self-quarantine. Currently, the health center is conducting an epidemiological investigation, and detailed information will be announced by the relevant authorities as soon as it is confirmed.
Additionally, all production actors, staff, and related personnel who had direct contact with the confirmed individual were immediately notified of the situation, and testing and self-quarantine measures have been implemented for them.
The entire venue is currently closed, and emergency disinfection measures have been initiated.
Performances will be suspended for two weeks until the 14th, which is the end of the two-week self-quarantine period for the related contacts. All ticket holders for this period will receive a mass text message, and information regarding ticket cancellations will be provided sequentially.
