The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family announced on the 1st that medical institution heads will be exempt from submitting documents such as copies of certification or licenses to the police station each time they request a sex offender background check.
From now on, medical institutions only need to obtain consent signatures for administrative information sharing on the sex offender background check application form, and they will no longer be required to submit documents like copies of certification or licenses when verifying an employee's criminal record. Additionally, when applying online, there will be no need to separately scan the certification or license.

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family plans to collaborate with related ministries such as the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and the National Police Agency to further link the Crime Background Report System with administrative information sharing, gradually expanding the target institutions. In the second half of this year, the policy will be applied and implemented for approximately 90,000 institutions, including cultural and sports facilities and natural recreational forests.
