Boseong-gun Provides Boseong Love Gift Certificates to Low-Income Families
Designation of Intensive Application Consumption Period in April Expected to Revitalize Local Economy
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yong-chul] Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 31st that it will provide 1.6 billion won in support through a temporary living support project for low-income households facing economic difficulties due to COVID-19.
The support amounts are 520,000 won for a single-person household, 880,000 won for a two-person household, 1,140,000 won for a three-person household, and 1,400,000 won for a four-person household for livelihood and medical beneficiaries. For housing and education beneficiaries and near-poverty groups, 400,000 won for a single-person household, 680,000 won for a two-person household, 880,000 won for a three-person household, and 1,080,000 won for a four-person household will be provided respectively.
Eligible recipients must bring their ID cards, verify their eligibility at the town or township office, and then receive gift certificates at the local Nonghyup (National Agricultural Cooperative Federation).
This project provides temporary living support funds to about 3,000 households including basic livelihood security recipients and near-poverty groups, and the support is given in the form of Boseong Sarang gift certificates, a local currency, to revitalize the local economy.
The county plans to operate a concentrated application period from the 8th to the 17th of next month, aiming to distribute the funds by the end of April. Additionally, administrative efforts will be focused to encourage active consumption at local traditional markets, restaurants, and stores.
