[Asia Economy (Sejong) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] In the public recruitment for environmental management workers in Sejong City, applicants in their 30s and 40s accounted for 81% of the total. The overall competition rate closed at 11 to 1.
According to the city on the 31st, the recently closed public recruitment for environmental management workers recorded 110 applicants for 10 positions.
The age distribution of applicants was ▲18 to 20s: 8 people (7%) ▲30s: 34 people (31%) ▲40s: 55 people (50%) ▲50s: 13 people (12%). Applicants in their 30s and 40s accounted for 8.1 out of every 10 applicants.
The city plans to select the final successful candidates through a screening process including the 1st document screening (30 points), 2nd physical fitness test (30 points), and 3rd interview evaluation (40 points).
Among them, 40 candidates passed the document screening, and the results can be checked on the city hall website on the 31st. The physical fitness test will be held on the 9th of next month at Jeonui Sports Park in Jeonui-myeon.

A city official said, “Considering the ongoing serious stage of COVID-19, we considered postponing the physical fitness test schedule, but decided to proceed as planned to give hope to the applicants during these difficult times. We ask the 40 candidates who passed the first screening to refer to the city hall website and participate in the physical fitness test following infectious disease prevention guidelines.”
