View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea increased to 9,786 as of the 31st.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that the number of confirmed domestic cases increased by 125 compared to the previous day as of midnight.
Fifteen cases were identified during quarantine. Additional cases in the metropolitan area and Daegu-Gyeongbuk region were 43 and 62, respectively.
By region, Daegu had the highest number with 60 cases, followed by Seoul (24), Gyeonggi (13), Incheon (6), Daejeon (2), Gyeongbuk (2), Gyeongnam (1), Chungnam (1), and Busan (1).
