'Achimmadang' Oh Mi-yeon "Overcame '4500 to 1' Competition Rate through MBC Open Recruitment"
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] Actress Oh Mi-yeon revealed the process of debuting through MBC's open recruitment.
On the 31st, Oh Mi-yeon, who debuted as part of MBC's 6th open recruitment class, appeared on KBS 1TV's 'Morning Yard.' She said, "The competition rate was 4500:1. Honestly, I thought acting was something far from me."
She continued, "My father also told me to get a job, but my personality wasn't suited for sitting and working. I was recommended to attend an acting academy. About a month in, everyone was applying to broadcasting stations. I hadn't been there long and wasn't planning to apply, but people around me told me to try it for experience, so I submitted an application and I was the only one who passed," she recalled.

She added, "Among the 40 successful candidates, they put me at the very front. I am introverted, so I was embarrassed to be in front, but they said, 'Since you ranked first, you have to greet the president.' That's when I found out I was first," surprising the other guests.
