Real-time Information Sharing with Construction Personnel Using SNS Bands
Gangseo-gu Launches SNS Band 'Sotonghaneun Gangseo Geonchugin'
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) announced on the 30th that it will manage construction sites in real time using the SNS Band starting this month.
Until now, there was no real-time communication method between the responsible public officials and construction managers, making it difficult to promptly respond to site management and safety accidents.
Accordingly, to efficiently manage construction sites, the district opened the SNS Band "Communicating Gangseo Builders" last month and began operating it this month.
"Communicating Gangseo Builders" is intended for public officials in charge of permits, construction contractors, and supervisors during new construction. When filing a construction start report, the permit official obtains consent from construction stakeholders to guide and approve their Band membership.
Through this, in case of accidents, disasters, or calamities at construction sites, the situation and response details are posted in real time on the "Communicating Gangseo Builders" Band, allowing construction stakeholders and the district to exchange information quickly and easily via comments and other means.
Additionally, the Band is used to share updates on construction-related laws and guidelines, as well as to address construction complaints such as noise and dust.
The district will first operate this system targeting large construction sites with a total floor area of 10,000㎡ or more until June, improve any issues arising during operation, and expand it to medium-sized construction sites with a total floor area between 2,000㎡ and less than 10,000㎡ starting in July.
Mayor Noh Hyun-song said, "This project has established a rapid communication system that is not restricted by time or place," and added, "We will do our best to ensure safety management at construction sites through active communication with construction stakeholders."
