One More COVID-19 Death Reported in Daegu... Total 157 Deaths in South Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Chunhee Lee] An additional death due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) has occurred in Daegu. This brings the total number of domestic deaths from COVID-19 to 157, with 107 in Daegu.
According to Daegu City on the 29th, at around 12:05 PM, a COVID-19 confirmed patient A (77-year-old female) who was receiving treatment at Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital in Buk-gu, Daegu, passed away.
She was admitted to K Madi Hospital on the 25th of last month due to a fracture, and on the following day, the 26th, she tested positive for COVID-19 and was transferred to Daegu Medical Center. Later, on the 7th, she was moved again to the intensive care unit of Chilgok Kyungpook National University Hospital for treatment. It is known that Ms. A had underlying conditions including diabetes and hypertension.

In addition to Ms. A, two other patients in their 80s from Daegu who were confirmed positive for COVID-19 on the same day also died. Currently, among the confirmed COVID-19 patients in Daegu, more than 30 are in critical condition receiving ventilator treatment.
