[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea increased to 9,583 on the 29th.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters announced that as of midnight on that day, the number of confirmed domestic cases increased by 105 compared to the previous day.
Among them, 21 cases were identified during quarantine. Additional cases in the metropolitan area and Daegu-Gyeongbuk region were 42 and 25, respectively.
By region, Daegu had the highest number with 23 cases, followed by Seoul (21), Gyeonggi (15), Incheon (7), Gyeongnam (3), Busan (3), Daejeon (3), Sejong (2), Gangwon (2), Jeonbuk (2), Gyeongbuk (2), Chungnam (1), and Jeonnam (1).
