Jeonnam Province Mandates Diagnostic Testing for Overseas Arrivals After the 2nd
Administrative Order Issued
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province urgently issued an administrative order mandating diagnostic tests and other measures for residents of the province who have entered the country from abroad since the 2nd.
According to Jeonnam Province on the 27th, this administrative order is a measure to preemptively block the spread of infections within the province due to the rapid increase in domestic confirmed COVID-19 cases caused by overseas inflow and to continuously manage overseas entrants.
The order applies to residents of the province who have entered from abroad since the 2nd.
The provisions include ▲ requiring entrants from Europe and the United States to install the ‘Self-Quarantine Safety Protection App’ at the quarantine stage ▲ requiring other entrants to install the ‘Mobile Self-Diagnosis App’ at the quarantine stage ▲ and all overseas entrants since March 2 must report to the public health center, receive counseling, and undergo diagnostic testing. All subjects must comply accordingly.
In particular, if residents of the province who entered from abroad violate self-quarantine by unauthorized departure, they will be reported under the ‘Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Act’ according to the zero-tolerance principle.
Meanwhile, among 63 residents of Jeonnam Province who entered from abroad between the 22nd and 25th, 40 tested negative, and 23 are scheduled for testing.
