Guro-gu Urges Restraint from Anyangcheon 'Flower Outings' to Prevent COVID-19
Infection Risk Increases with Crowds... Banners Requesting Refrain from Visiting Anyangcheon and Other Areas Displayed
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Guro-gu (Mayor Lee Seong) has urged residents to refrain from 'flower outings' to prevent COVID-19.
Guro-gu stated on the 27th, "As the full blooming season approaches, visits from spring tourists to local cherry blossom spots are expected," and added, "There is a risk of infection if crowds gather, so we are advising residents to refrain from spring outings."
Guro-gu first put up banners requesting visitors to refrain from visiting and to follow personal hygiene rules, focusing on popular local outing spots such as the walking trails around Anyangcheon, Dorimcheon, Mokgamcheon, the ecological parks within Gaebong Retention Basin and Singuro Retention Basin, and street parks.
Additionally, hand sanitizers have been placed in various locations and disinfection activities have been strengthened.
The district has also canceled all spring events this year, including the annual street park cherry blossom festival.
