China Bans Foreigners from Entry to Block COVID-19 Spread

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced late on the night of the 26th that it will prohibit the entry of foreigners from 0:00 on the 28th. Although there are some exceptions, such as holders of diplomatic and official visas, this is effectively a ban on the entry of foreigners, including those who have already obtained visas or residence permits. The measure was taken in consideration of the rapid global spread of COVID-19.
