Sansu 1·2-dong Project Target Area... Establishing the Foundation for an Energy Self-Reliant Village
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Im Taek) announced on the 26th that it is recruiting participating companies to form a consortium for the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy's '2021 New Renewable Energy Supply (Convergence and Complex Support) Project' contest.
This project involves installing two or more types of new renewable energy sources such as solar power and solar heat in public facilities, residences, and commercial buildings to establish an energy self-reliance foundation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the supply of new renewable energy.
The contest requires local governments, new renewable energy participating companies, and the private sector to form a consortium, with the local government acting as the lead organization to apply to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
Dong-gu selected Sansu 1 and 2-dong as the project target areas and established a plan to create an 'Eco-friendly Energy Self-reliant Village,' with an estimated total project cost of about 3 billion KRW.
Through the project, it is expected to realize energy welfare by reducing electricity and heating costs for residents in energy-deprived areas who have faced heavy energy cost burdens.
The recruitment period is until the 7th of next month, and detailed information can be found on the Dong-gu Office website.
