Certified Labor Consultant Exam Candidates, Deadline for Submitting TOEIC and Other Language Scores Extended to May 22
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The deadline for submitting official language test scores for examinees taking this year's Certified Labor Consultant qualification exam has been extended to May 22.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor made this decision to minimize the damage to examinees due to cancellations or postponements of private English proficiency tests such as TOEIC amid the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Examinees taking the first stage of the Certified Labor Consultant exam scheduled for May 23 can submit their official language test scores by the day before the exam, May 22.
The current Certified Labor Consultant qualification exam substitutes the English subject score of the first stage exam with scores from private English proficiency tests. Until now, only scores submitted by the application deadline were recognized. However, due to the recent spread of COVID-19, many English test schedules have been canceled or postponed, depriving examinees of opportunities to take the test for over a month.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Employment and Labor has decided to extend the score submission deadline for examinees whose tests were canceled or whose score announcement dates were postponed beyond the application deadline due to COVID-19. However, only scores from the first official language test conducted and announced after the cancellation or postponement will be accepted.
Only scores submitted in person or by mail to one of the six regional headquarters of the Human Resources Development Service of Korea by 6 p.m. on May 22, the day before the first stage exam, will be accepted.
