KT Giga Genie "Sing Popular Children's Songs with Pinkfong Karaoke"
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] Amid concerns over the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), which has made it difficult for children to go outside, KT is introducing various kids services on its AI TV ‘Giga Genie’.
First, KT, in collaboration with TJ Communication, will launch the ‘Pinkfong Karaoke’ service on the AI TV Giga Genie on the 25th. Pinkfong Karaoke is a kids-only karaoke service where children can comfortably search for and sing Pinkfong nursery rhymes at home using voice commands. In addition to exciting Pinkfong videos, random exercise videos appear during the songs, allowing children to learn both singing and movements together.
Pinkfong Karaoke offers a ‘30-minute Random Karaoke’ feature where users can enjoy karaoke for 30 minutes without selecting songs separately, and a ‘Learn to Sing’ function where nursery rhyme audio and accompaniment play sequentially so children can learn and sing along. The service includes 100 popular nursery rhymes and 40 popular songs, including Pinkfong songs, with more than two new songs added weekly. Pinkfong Karaoke can be used unlimited for a certain period or via a monthly subscription. The 1-day, 30-day, and 90-day passes are sold for 3,300 KRW, 9,900 KRW, and 26,400 KRW (VAT included), respectively, and the monthly subscription, which is automatically billed every month, costs 7,700 KRW.
Additionally, KT has launched the ‘Jjakkkung’ and ‘Birthday Celebration’ services to make it easier for children to use Giga Genie at home. Jjakkkung is a feature where Giga Genie calls the child’s name and speaks in a friendly tone when using the Giga Genie kids services. When a kids service is activated, Giga Genie says things like, “○○, the book
The Jjakkkung feature can be used in kids-only services on Giga Genie such as ▲Sound Fairy Tales ▲Story Audiobooks ▲Pinkfong Repeat After Me ▲Pinkfong Story Theater ▲Pinkfong Praising, and kids’ information can be registered through the Giga Genie app.
