Gwangju Buk-gu to Conduct Public Contest for Women-Friendly City Residents Until the 30th
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Moon In) announced on the 24th that it will conduct the '2020 Women-Friendly City Resident Contest' targeting non-profit organizations and resident councils within the district until the 30th.
This contest will be promoted in three areas: ▲Creation of Women-Friendly Specialized Villages ▲Operation of Workplace Mom Happiness Classes ▲Support for Women’s Professional Clubs.
The Women-Friendly Specialized Village Creation project aims to create an equal village community that pursues women's growth and safety, divided into four types: ▲Safety ▲Care ▲Gender Equality ▲Women’s Capacity Building. About five organizations will be selected and a budget of up to 30 million KRW will be supported.
The Workplace Mom Happiness Class project supports the growth of working mothers by utilizing weekday evenings and weekends for counseling, self-help meetings, and mentor-mentee relationships, aiming for work-family balance. About three organizations will be selected and a budget of up to 20 million KRW will be supported.
Additionally, a total budget of 4.5 million KRW will be provided to selected women’s professional clubs, which are small groups for developing women’s potential and nurturing talent.
Applications can be submitted by visiting the Women and Children Division of Buk-gu Office in person, by mail, or by email by the 30th, with all contest documents posted on the Buk-gu Office website.
