Daegu City posted on its official website a handwritten letter left by a Daegu citizen to the staff of the Kyungpook National University dormitory residential treatment center.
In the letter, the citizen expressed, "From the first day of admission to the day of discharge, I sincerely thank you for helping and being with me with a warm heart consistently," and added, "Although you must be struggling with insufficient manpower on the front lines, I felt your heart trying to say even one warmer word, which deeply moved me."
He continued, "Thanks to each precious hand of those who prepared delicious snacks and supplies, those who handled waste disposal, medical staff, counselors, and those who conducted X-ray examinations, I was able to overcome this."
He also said, "Everyone working here are truly beautiful people of this era," and "I am very grateful for being with me all this time, and I always wish you good health and only happiness."
Daegu City, which disclosed the letter, urged, "In these days when we are utterly exhausted, sincere encouragement sent to each other can be the greatest strength to overcome difficult times."
