Incheon Yeonsu-gu, Up to 24% Cashback When Using Local Currency 'Hyetaek Plus' at Affiliated Stores
5% Additional Cashback for HyeTukPlus Partner Stores in April
First HyeTukPlus Partner Store App Created in Incheon
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, will provide an additional 5% cashback for local currency 'Yeonsu e-eum' Benefit Plus affiliated stores throughout April and create a Benefit Plus store app to offer convenience to residents.
The district announced on the 23rd that it will provide an additional 5% cashback for Yeonsu e-eum Benefit Plus affiliated stores to support small business owners struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and to revive weakened consumer sentiment.
Accordingly, combining the 10% basic cashback provided by Incheon City, the 3-7% burden from affiliated stores, and the 7% support from the basic local government, consumers can receive a total cashback benefit of 20% to 24%.
The district plans to apply this additional cashback temporarily for the month of April, but if Incheon City's basic 10% cashback support, currently limited to March and April, is extended, the additional cashback will also be increased accordingly.
This additional cashback benefit also serves as promotion and enrollment incentives for Benefit Plus stores.
Since last month, the district has been expanding Benefit Plus stores with the goal of securing 1,000 locations in the first half of this year under the slogan "Overcome COVID-19 together with Benefit Plus" to revive the depressed local commercial districts.
In fact, from the 1st of this month, due to the increase of Incheon City's basic cashback to 10%, Yeonsu e-eum sales increased by 38% (4.9 billion KRW) compared to February, the previous month, until the second week of March.
Stores wishing to join Benefit Plus can receive guidance from Yeonsu-gu (032-749-7822, 7814) or the E-eum Card Customer Center (1811-8668), then visit the Yeonsu-gu Economic Support Division in person or apply through the Benefit+ website (www.eumplus.or.kr).
