KOSHA "Revised Industrial Safety and Health Act After 28 Years, Distributing Easy-to-Understand Video"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) announced on the 23rd that it will distribute a video summarizing the revised Industrial Safety and Health Act, which will be enforced starting this year, in an easy-to-understand manner.
This video covers the fully revised Industrial Safety and Health Act, Enforcement Decree, Enforcement Rules, and subordinate laws such as Industrial Safety and Health Standards. The main contents of the video include ▲expansion of the scope of legal protection ▲expansion of responsible parties ▲restriction on subcontracting hazardous and dangerous work ▲strengthening of penalties for employers, etc.
The video can be downloaded through the agency's website and the application 'Wigi Talchul Anjeonboheon' (Crisis Escape Safety and Health), and is also available on YouTube.
KOSHA is developing and distributing a '10-minute Safety and Health Education' program that allows workers to directly identify risk factors and conduct training before starting work on site.
The 10-minute Safety and Health Education conducted through the app provided by the agency is a system where site managers and workers can carry out training on mobile devices at the site and manage the results. There is no need to fill out separate paperwork, and it is recognized as regular training time under the Industrial Safety and Health Act.
