[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) is urgently hiring one temporary worker to supplement health personnel responding to COVID-19.
The recruitment target is one doctor to work at the screening clinic operated by the Geumcheon-gu Public Health Center.
Applicants must be at least 19 years old as of the interview date (scheduled for March 27), hold a medical license, and be able to start working at the screening clinic immediately after passing.
Those who wish to participate can download the application form from the ‘Notices & Announcements’ section on the Geumcheon-gu Office website, fill it out, and submit it in person to the Job Creation Division on the 9th floor of Geumcheon-gu Office by the 25th.
The district will conduct a first round of document screening and a second round of interviews, announce the final successful candidate on the Geumcheon-gu Office website around March 27, and notify them individually.
The final successful candidate will perform infectious disease-related tasks such as distinguishing suspected patients and collecting specimens at the Geumcheon-gu screening clinic for two months from April 1 to May 31.
The working period may be extended depending on the COVID-19 response situation.
Work hours are from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., five days a week, with a daily wage of 500,000 KRW including meal allowance, hazard pay, and weekly holiday allowance. Annual leave pay is paid separately, and enrollment in the four major social insurances is mandatory. Specific working days and hours will be negotiated and adjusted according to the situation.
Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, “There is a shortage of frontline health personnel, making it difficult to respond to the spread of infectious diseases. We will do our utmost to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by hiring temporary workers to supplement the insufficient health personnel and strengthen the response system to protect the safety and health of residents.”
